Billy Installs The JET Xcellerator on Blacktop Baller

Hello everyone, this is your favorite shop dog Hot Rod Hilda, for another Daily Driver Report. Today the boys installed the Jet Performance Xcelerator in Billy’s Blacktop Baller Hemi Truck

The truck is a 2007 RAM 1500 crew cab with the 5.7 Hemi EZB. The challenge with the EZB is the electronic throttle module. There tends to be a bit of a torque lag with those mills. It’s an easy to install performance device that modifies the signal to your electronic throttle. This allows quicker throttle response and removes the dreaded “throttle lag”. Equipped with 5 Throttle Performance Modes that the driver can select to best suit their driving style or needs. Set your throttle response from stock performance to wide open in the matter of a few clicks on your controller. In addition, there is a Valet Mode that reduces the throttle performance for the parking attendant and a Security Mode that stops the throttle from functioning at all.

The OEM connectors make it for a quick and easy install Billy did right after dinner one night. It was a  good dinner, after Billy was done with his chicken rice and carrots, I got to lick the plate. So now I get to just lay here and watch him do the installation. If you don’t want to read the instructions there’s a QR code in the box to scan for a quick video.

We took the Baller out for a test drive first to get a good idea of the throttle response difference. After the installation we found a nice improvement and the different modes make for a fun driving experience whether in traffic or on the open road. Although, I prefer setting #4, the all out “Track” mode, they don’t call me Hot Rod Hilda for nothin’!
