SEMA 2012 – The End is Near

Whew! What a SHOW!

Story: T-Bone, Photos: T-bone and Billy

On Monday, 4 short days ago, we started to feel the stretch of the hamstrings and now that they are all loose, we see the end of this endurance race of a show. This morning we had the pleasure of working with Emily Sherer (above) as we walk the aisles of Hot Rod Alley and the Restoration Marketplace hitting some of our favorite stops for a photo op. You will find individual storys later in the week with more photos. Stay tuned.

In the afternoon we made some more stops to places we somehow missed. We didn’t spend too much time outside and as you can see there were some incredible cars and some others, such as a 4×4 Chevelle. Who’d a thunk that??? We then headed out to the South Hall in the Truck section and found some cool low rigs and vintage Jeeps. Back in the Central Hall we stopped to see Bob at Con2R and they had a cool Wheel Barrow Rod with a 50cc motor, mechanical steering and a disc brake. Looks like lots of fun and something we are going to have to consider making ourselves. Then we headed to the North Hall in the tool section and found a really cool socket called Grip-Tite. It works great with fresh new bolts and even better on rounded headed bolts and nuts. Their patented technology looks and works great. We will be testing some of them soon in the Shocker Choppers Garage. Billy found a couple of Bettys too.

After the show we shot some of the Cruise action. We will compile the video and share it with you on our YouTube Channel soon!

Then it was off to the desert chasing the sun home reminiscing about all the stuff we saw and set plans for follow-up articles and next year! Also, coming in January is the SEMA Media Conference were we will get up-close and personal with some of the manufacturers as they present more new products!

Take care and stay tuned!
